How do we forgive our Fathers? Maybe in a dream Do we forgive our Smoke signals poem for leaving us too often or forever when we were little? Maybe for scaring us with unexpected rage or making us nervous because there never seemed to be any rage there at all.
Do we forgive our Fathers for marrying or not marrying our Mothers? For Divorcing or not divorcing our Mothers? And shall we forgive them for their excesses of warmth or coldness? Shall we forgive them for pushing or leaning for shutting doors for speaking through walls or never speaking or never being silent?
Do we forgive our Fathers in our age or in theirs or their deaths saying it to them or not saying it? From one of my all-time favorite films.
You can Netflix it! And do scroll down the nice Smoke signals poem of the actual scene that a kind reader posted here for us. My father recently passed away. This poem gives me so much comfort. You can also find this film sequence on YouTube at the link below. Thank you for sharing. Dancing with the Spirts as One. Feliz Dia de Los Padres!
Smoke Signals is a movie i can watch over and over again. I have had the great pleasure of meeting and knowing the whole cast and producer of this movie. They themselves are awesome people.
I am Blessed to call them my Friends. Most of all they are my Native Brothers and Sisters…Aho.
